A beautiful chateau run by a lovely couple who truly were very attentive and caring. A very pretty place to stay with well appointed, clean rooms and a wonderful breakfast. We had 2 teenage daughters with us that also loved their stay.

The friendliness and helpful attitude of the staff and the standard of cuisine, as well as the beautiful setting. Also, the room we stayed in was of generous proportions and very comfortable in terms of both temperature and the bed - everything was spotless too. The bathroom facilities were also top notch (particularly the shower with the big head that my wife couldn't work out how to operate!). The swimming pool was spot on as well.
If I were to criticise anything, it would be the slowness of service - both when ordering drinks on the patio before dinner and when in the splendid dining room, but then again we weren't in any great hurry! It does seem that there is too much reliance on the hard-working owners to do too much, or perhaps their attention to detail means that they simply don't trust their staff to deliver to their satisfaction?

the Chateau was refurbished to a very high standard and the furnishings were beautiful. The owners were lovely people. The food was from the local region and a very high quality.
Because the owners cared so much about their furnishings, they would not allow drinks in rooms, breakfast in the room, irons and many other standard things that make a stay more comfortable. To that extent, they did not deliver great customer service. I went to recuperate after an operation but no effort was made to make it easy to relax.
